My Back Yard, Inc

Linda Pokornik, President of My Back Yard, Inc in Calgary Alberta Canada wrote us on March 15, 2003 to say;

“We were approached by WM Wordsworth & More to upgrade and develop a web site for my business. It has worked so well, I feel compelled to describe how the web site they developed helped my business.

My Backyard Inc. is currently receiving, from our web, three to four client inquiries per week. Sixty percent of these clients contacted our company because they were impressed with our web presentation. Over a period of one year, My Backyard Inc.'s web site has generated revenues in excess of $400,000.

My Backyard Inc. has retained the services of three individuals whom responded to employment inquiries from the web. These persons applied for employment after viewing our web site and determining from the web site that our company was a desirable place to work. These persons preceded to become key employees.

My Backyard Inc. is located in Alberta, Canada. The Webmaster's location being Oregon, U.S.A. has not been an issue as John Hood-Fysh has made himself readily available via phone and email.

Footnote: In mid-year 2004 the company management was persuaded to switch to a local (to them) web developer in a swap for services agreement. My Back Yard, Inc and the web design company have since stopped operating.

The Bamboo Valley

Dain Sansome owner of The Bamboo Valley Authority had a website design he wanted to implement. Search engine ranking was also important. After we completed the site in January of 2008, he wrote us to say;

“Thanks for your suggestions about the description, keywords, and abstract. That's amazing the rankings are so far up! A week ago the closest I could find the site for anything relevant other than “bamboo valley” was page 19 or 20 on Google. I just noticed checking myself this moment that Google has cached a new copy of the site on Jan 30th.”

Mid-Valley Vicariate

The Catholic Curches of the Mid-Willamette Valley wanted a web presence. Wordsworth & More was contacted to do the work. We completed the work in a week, and Patricia DePetrillo of the Mid-Valley Vicariate web page steering committee wrote to say:

“Excellent! How did you do this so quickly? I expected the photos, but music and scrolling news, very nice. I will forward your message to the rest of the Steering Committee. Thanks for the great work!”

Documentation Projects

Tix•R•Us

Colleen Dick, President of Tix•R•Us wrote a thank you note in December of 2007 and blog item after the completion of our project (Quick Start Guide, Reference Manual, and HTML Help system) for her online ticketing application;
